SSC Applied Science Coastal Program
Strategic Planning Session
NASA's Applied Science Program at Stennis Space Center (SSC) is developing a 3-5 year GOM Coastal Strategic Plan. We have spent considerable time interacting with the GOM Coastal Management and Research Community by participating in Coastal workshops, GOMA six Priority Issue team meetings, and the GOM Research Prioritization and Information Needs Workshops. From the results of this interaction NASA SSC is conducting systematic evaluations to identify NASA capabilities that show promise to support these applications areas.
The session will help us refine and prioritize this list of application areas to better meet your needs.
Session Objectives:
• Present and indentify Applied Science application possibilities and needs within the GOMA theme areas and identify key locations
• Refine and prioritize the identified applications topics and locations
• Identify potential reviewers for the draft Strategic Plan
A full-day workshop will be held following the Gulf of Mexico Alliance Workshop in July to discuss the resulting strategic plan.
